Is Guide Compulsory?

There is no compulsion as such. If you are going on a weekday, we recommend that you take a guide from Bamnoli village. Vasota trek is a bit tiring and there are multiple ways to get to the top. The trek route can be a bit confusing sometimes and hence a guide is recommended if you haven't been there before.

The guide will also help you in carrying heavy bags if required. Please ensure that you fix the rate for the guide at the village itself to avoid any conflicts. And please pay them well as the manual efforts taken by them do need financial appreciation.
